Winning the red dot marks the beginning of a high profile campaign where the winner is the centre of attention. Winning a red dot sets a designer or design team apart from the rest. The red dot design award is one of the largest and most prestigious design awards in the world, in 2009 alone, it received over 12,000 submissions from over 60 countries.10 million pages, 300 thousand designers, 8 thousand companies, 2 thousand design studios are who we aim and can communicate your achievement to.The prestige of the red dot will create natural buzz about your win, to strengthen the buzz, red dot has created a selection of services to communicate your win in the best possible way.

獎項／Awards
1) red dot: luminary
The red dot: luminary is the highest achievement of the red dot award: design concept. A leading light to follow, this concept is selected from out of the red dot: best of the best winners. This award represents the best design concept of the year.
2) red dot: best of the best
The "red dot: best of the best" is awarded for pioneering design in the "red dot award: design concept. Only the best concepts in a category receive the prize.
3) red dot
The red dot is the award for high design quality. Only concepts that clearly stand out from comparable products due to their outstanding design receive the sought-after quality seal from the international jury.

1) Luminary
「Luminary」是紅點設計獎中的最高榮譽，這個引領群雄的獎項將由紅點Best of the Best獲獎者中選出，成為當年度最佳設計。
2) Best of the Best
「Best of the Best」是為獎勵紅點獎中具開創性的設計作品而設，在獲選收錄於年鑑的作品中，只有最好的幾件能獲頒此獎項。
3) 紅點獎
紅點獎是為獎勵高品質的設計而設，只有鮮明優秀的作品能脫穎而出，獲得國際評審的青睞。

參賽資格／Eligibility
(Participation extends to) all designers, design studios, companies, research laboratories, inventors, design professionals and students from anywhere in the world (are eligible to enter).
All kinds of inventions, novelty designs and aesthetic designs that are not in the market, and not produced for sale before 1 December 2010 can be entered. Award decisions are taken on the concept presentations directly by the jury during the adjudication process.

來自世界各地所有的設計師、設計工作室、公司、研究機構、創作者、專業設計師或學生皆可參賽;所有非市場內的各類作品、創新設計、美學設計等，凡未在2010年12月1日前販售者皆可報名，並將由評審直接於評選過程中依據設計理念的呈現決定是否授獎。

There are 20 categories to choose from. The categories are deliberately wide to ensure that your imagination is not limited. Think beyond the conventional list that is provided and define new innovations.

報名指南／Entry instructions
Submitting your work for the red dot award: design concept is a 2-step process.
First, register at “register online”. After registration is complete and payment is received, you may submit your entry. Submit your entry at “submit your work".（http://www.red-dot.sg/concept/registration/ent_inst.htm）

報名紅點設計獎需要兩個步驟，首先，請先到「register online」完成線上註冊並確認繳交報名費，再擊點「submit your work」進行報名。網址：http://www.red-dot.sg/concept/registration/ent_inst.htm

報名規則／Entry requirements
Design concepts are presented to the jury in A3 sized presentations. Login and upload your work online, it will be printed to hard copy for the adjudication discussions.

參賽作品將以A3提案板形式呈現在評審面前，請線上登錄並上載作品，他將被輸出供評審評分討論。

提交規則／Presentation requirements
1) Each work should include: A description of the work, include how the product works,
and use-scenario
2) Drawings or renderings of the product Work can be 3 to 5 pages long Work must be in English only
3) Focus on novelty of the design concept
4) Not more than 5 pages long

1) 每件作品需包含：設計理念、操作方法、使用情境。
2) 請以英文提繳3~5張設計圖和理念呈現。
3) 請將聚焦於新穎的設計概念。
4) 每件作品不得超過5張圖紙。

作品規格／Format requirements
1) File format: PDF, JPG, or TIF only
2) File size: 2Mb per file, total of 3 files may be uploaded
3) Resolution: min. 72 dpi, max. 300 dpi
4) Print Size: A3, Height 42cm by width 29.7cm
5) Please include the page number and total number of pages on each board.
6) Do NOT include product company logos or designers’ names in the submission.
7) Films: MOV, MPEG4, WMV, FLV

For model or prototype deliveries, please ensure that product deliveries are handled in accordance with the customs requirements for the free trade of goods (Delivered Duty Paid). If you decide for a temporary import, it is essential that you use a freight forwarder, i.e. do not use a courier, express packet service, etc. More details can be obtained from your nearest customs office.

模型退件／Recovery of models or prototypes
8 Sep to 8 Nov 2010, Mondays to Fridays only, from 10am to 5pm, Singapore time.
Please note that all prototypes and models must be removed after the adjudication phase within the dates stated above. If not removed, the models and prototypes will be stored at cost by the organiser.
The participant concerned bears all costs and risks related to storage and shipping. Liability under product liability law, e.g. when the product slips or moves, remains unaffected.
If the entrant does not recover the products/exhibits within the given time, title to the products/ exhibits passes to red dot Singapore Pte Ltd.

新加坡時間2010年9越8日~11月8日，週一~週五，早上十點~下午五點。
請注意，所有原樣與模型需在評審結束後，於上述時間之內進行退件。若未申請退件者，作品將由主辦單位進行收費貯存。參賽者須負擔所有貯存、運輸的費用及風險。責任將依據相關產品責任法，如主辦單位無須負作品於運送過程中鬆脫或移動之責。參賽者若未在規定時間內領回作品，其陳列標題將改為新加坡紅點公司。

The online submission is only able to accept 3 files of 2Mb each. If your file exceeds the allowed size, please deliver a CD or DVD of your work to: (The CD must reach us before 12 Jul 2010)
